- Agree data treatment before equipment is considered for reuse or redeployment.
- Record whether each asset is reused, redeployed, recovered or routed for recycling.
An appropriate next use where possible, with a recorded outcome for the equipment in scope.
Assess Before Deciding
Working equipment may still have a useful next life. Age alone does not determine the outcome: specification, condition, demand, security requirements and processing costs all matter.
Be Clear About Recoverable Value
Any commercial recovery arrangement is reviewed against the agreed equipment and processing scope. A recovery payment or free collection is not guaranteed.
Keep Reuse Visible in Reporting
Reuse and redeployment outcomes are recorded separately from recycling and recovery, so the final report reflects what happened to the technology.
